I'm so far behind...so where do I start?

I have been slacking so bad lately...I somehow managed to miss the whole month of August!!!! AHHH!! I will be catching up eventually because that has been the most important month of this year!! My baby turned ONE!! My mom came in by surprise to celebrate with us and we had so much fun. We loved the visit! Christian became one spoiled little boy once again. Mom wasn't able to stay for his Party, but she was here on his actual birthday which ROCKED!! I have so many pictures, but since this will only allow 5 at a time....It may take me awhile to get the pics posted! I do have them and plan to update soon.

This school semester has begun officially today! Rob and I are both in school this Fall. It is going to be hectic, balancing work schedules, babysitters, school schedules, family time, and time to breathe for that matter! We also are to be in our friends' Brad and Amanda's wedding in October. I'm not sure how we're going to juggle all this, but I am sure we will someway, somehow. We have been blessed that we have some family members that have been keeping Christian on a regular basis, which has been great. Thank you Mamaw Pat, Tia, Brandi, Missi, Tracey and Nana!

I have a feeling this blog is going to fall behind, but I only have til MAY before I graduate. I'll be so thankful. Here's to 8 more months of school!

Here are some pics from the day we went to Holiday World. Mom went with us including all the rest of my family :) More pics to come soon....(I hope!)
Isaac, Christian and Nate....COUSINS!!

At Cracker Barrell before heading to Holiday World with my family!

Daddy's year in review

Hello to all who read this thing. I am today's special guest blogger. DA DA!!! As my little monster Christian calls me. I am Rob, Autumn's husband to be and Christian's daddy. Today is August 5th. Christian's first birthday!!!! I have always heard older people say kids grow up quick. I am a true believer of that now. It is 1:05pm right now. This time last year I was pacing the halls of the hospital just waiting his arrival. I was really trying to sike myself into not crying when he came at 8:49pm, but I cried! It was the single most important and exciting day of my life. I have watched him grow from sleeping in a bassinet to sleeping in his crib, from struggling to rollover to pulling up on everything. He is truly a blessing to Autumn and myself. I can honestly declare myself the happiest man on earth, to have such a wonderful woman and child in my life. I am looking forward to his big party this weekend. I can't wait to see him destroy his cake!! My life has changed so much in just a year. I am very excited to see my little man grow. I want to thank the people who created this blog for making this possible today, and letting me share my love for my baby boy with all who read this. Happy Birthday Christian!!! Daddy loves you and mommy!!!!

Little Rider

Rob and I have been looking for the perfect birthday gift for Christian. Last week we spent about two hours playing, testing and browsing toys at Toys R' Us. We had picked a similar ride on toy out at Target, but after reading reviews online, it didn't seem too safe or worth the money. (It was a little smaller than this one, and it was not power.) So, we decided against it. After our trip to Toys R' Us, we liked their version of the power wheel and it seemed safer because there is a plastic barrier between his feet and the wheels. We decided not to purchase it last Sunday because we wondered if he was too small to actually enjoy it. All week long, Rob and I got more excited and decided that he would "grow into it." We were not going to get it just yet, but when the Sunday paper came out, it was marked 40.00 off! Plus, I had a coupon for 5.00 off. So, It was a for sure buy! Little did we know, he already knows how to ride it, push the button himself, and he absolutely loves it! While it charged (it takes 18 hours on the first charge, so we didn't get to play with it until today.) But, we let him sit on it. He was such a natural! So, today I got off, and we took him for his first spin on it! Thanks Papaw Rick for assembling! I'll update the blog later this week with stuff that has been going on in our lives for the past two weeks. Summer School is ALMOST over, so it's been hectic. Looking forward to some time off that's for sure! Enjoy the pics!!

Getting rev'd up!!

The picture below is so adorable! He was so excited. And Rob and I were too!

Daddy being a little precautious!

When we would help him steer, he would let go and throw a fit. He wanted NO help whatsoever. I mean he is ALMOST ONE. haha. And we thought he wouldn't enjoy it...hah!

I can't believe our baby boy is turning ONE in two weeks. It has been so much fun!

One of his favorite things to do is pull off all the DVD's from the bookshelf. Here he is about to get in "trouble :)" and is quickly crawling away from the scene!

Mashed Taters!

Rob went to the grocery to pick up some items we needed. While gone, Christian and I dipped into the mashed potatoes a little early. He got his own bowl and spoon.

The spoon didn't last long before it was on the floor! All fingers baby!

Want some Mommy?

He loved it, and I couldn't help but laugh. Rob about had a fit when he came walking in. Mashed TATERs were everywhere! Needless to say, I was the one in charge of his bath on this night. (The baths are usually on Rob, because it hurts my back to have to bend down that long after breaking it. But Rob bathes him, and then I take over with lotion, powder, and dressing. ANd then usually 4-5 bedtime stories!) But, since I instigated the mess, He insisted it was my responsibility. Oh well...it was fun!

Christian's First Swim!

We finally found some time to get to "Mamaw Sherry's" for a quick swim. He absolutely loved it. Camie had a blast with him, and he loved her too!

He loved splashing around...I think he would have swam across the pool if he could have. He is definitely going to be a little water bug!

Reaching for something he's not supposed to have no doubt, and driving Mamaw Sherry crazy at the same time! haha.

Christian in his (lady) bug. It was all Meijers had left. We had to sacrifice. We called it the "boy"
bug all day so he wouldn't take offense. :)

Becoming such a big boy...standing tall...
